Each sistrum is utterly unique. I can journey on any markings that are needed in the wood and which wood in particular is needed for 'your' sistrum. The wood used is storm fallen and the metal is all re-purposed and hand beaten by me. Any beads, feathers, leather or other decorative items are always either found in the wild or thrifted/upcycled. I can use bark tanned leather from local wild deer if you prefer - this costs more.
PRICES: Most sistrums are £75
If you would like something very personal and time consuming then the price is by negotiation. If you would like the wild deer bark tanned leather than this adds £10 (bark tanning takes many, many hours).
The wood can be very 'tree' or the bark peeled off
I can decorate it with pyrography
The 'bells' are made from copper and brass and are hand beaten by me
Or it can be decorated in other ways. You can prescribe what you would like or I can ask to be guided by the Spirits as to what is appropriate.
I particularly love using twisty and non symetrical wood
I always use fallen wood. This is Yew
I tend not to make this style any more but can if you'd like it
