Drum Making Workshop
On Dartmoor (near Moretonhampstead) make your own beautiful frame drum and beater from scratch, working with the Spirit of the Drum and your helping spirits. Using natural, sustainably and ethically sourced materials in a respectful and heartful way.
The hides are from local Red Deer, the wood for the hoops is fast growing sustainably managed Willow (also wonderfully light), the ring is forged by our local blacksmith (Greg Abel) and the leather for covering the beater and the handle are upcycled.
Cost: £220 per person
Or if you would like to book the day just for you then the cost is £260
The workshop runs from 10am until about 5pm (we don't stop until you have finished), Please bring your own lunch - I will provide plenty of tea and cake - special diets are no problem so let me know if you are gluten free or anything else free.
Forthcoming workshops: There are no more spaces available in workshops in 2021 and workshops in January and February 2022 are all fully booked so the next available dates are:
Thursday 17th March - 4 places available
Tuesday 29th March - 4 places available
Please e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org for more details or to book a date. If none of these fit in with your diary then we can hopefully arrange other dates - Please specify at the time of booking whether you would like to have a one to one workshop or are happy to share with someone else..
