Suzi Crockford

Maker of Drums. Rattles, Faery Tambourines, Sistrums and other Sacred Tools.

Suzi Crockford is a maker of sacred objects .

Her making has its roots in animist and shamanic pathways to finding our deep connection to 'All that Is', believing that if we can remember that we are simply one part of a living, sentient world - and act accordingly - we can co-create "The More Beautiful World Our Hearts Know is Possible" .   Her creations are a beautiful interweaving of the sacred and the ordinary,  and her work takes place in the liminal realms between this reality and 'the Other', and has at its foundation an unshakeable belief in the sacredness of all of creation.

I  work  in partnership with the Spirits to create magical tools which will facilitate a strengthening of our connection with both the seen and unseen worlds.  Typically these creations (drum, rattle, etc.) help us in meeting the inhabitants of our archetypal landscape and traversing the territory of our soul, which brings us into deep connection with our birthright of belonging to a sacred and sentient world.  The drum is often called 'The Shaman's Horse', it's work democratises our connection to the Spirits and the Otherworld, dissolving the boundaries for a moment it gives us solid ground upon which to stand and then takes us on a transformative alchemical journey: our destination is Earth Consciousness, bringing about healing change for the collective and for our Earth. Our most important journey is the one in which we discover our true selves - the 'Us' that are  a reciprocal part of the  sensuous interconnected community of the interwoven, interdependent web of life.

As a creator of drums, rattles, sistrums and Faery Tambourines  with hide, stones and feathers, metal, cloth, plants and wood, I am experienced in making unique sacred objects, gifts, tools and instruments as guided by Spirit for the individual. They are in service to the numinous, to the great cauldron of our healing. Please don't hesitate to ask if there's something I might be able to make for you.

I share writing and photographs of some of the witchier aspects of my work at http://www.patreon.com/A_Dartmoor_Witch and also have a podcast discussing "life, the universe and everything" with Vicar Maggy Whitehouse at WiseWomen:TheVicarAndTheWitch (this is a Podbean link, if you're not on Podbean all episodes can be found on Spotify and some on YouTube).
